Neil Taylor is a Reader in science and related STEM subjects at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Neil teaches on both the undergraduate and postgraduate pre-service teacher education courses. As a result of these experiences Neil has developed an interest in effective transitions as learners move from one learning experience to another incorporating the effective use of blended and online learning. Neil has been involved in a number of European projects exploring the use of digital technologies to support transitions. Neil also received funding from the Scottish Government to explore alternative routes into teacher education for secondary School STEM teachers. His research interests include: Science education; using Web 2.0 tools to support transitions and develop skills for employment and effective teaching and learning.
